WHO WE ARE
The Good News Community Church is a non-denominational church affiliated with Village Missions of Canada. Our goal is to encourage people by helping them get to know, love, and worship the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
OUR MISSION
The purpose of the Good News Community Church is to encourage and equip believers in their walk with God, to provide avenues by which people will be introduced to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to be a community of believers which displays the joy and presence of the Lord in every circumstance.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Good News Community Church believes that:
- the Bible comes from God, is His true message, and forms the basis of our beliefs
- there is one God, made known to us in three personalities: God the Father; His Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit
- Jesus is fully God and fully human. He lived a perfect life, but gave up that life so that we may have eternal life with Him. He was crucified, rose bodily from the dead, and now lives in Heaven with the Father.
- We have all sinned, and sin leads to death, which is eternal separation from God. To be rescued from the consequences of our sin, we must individually recognize our need for God, and trust that the death of Jesus on the cross paid the penalty for our sins and provided the only way to be right with God.
- Those who accept Jesus' gift of salvation are Christians: in-filled with the Holy Spirit, and destined to spend eternity with God in Heaven.
